     Ed Kramer announced his retirement last December to take effect in August. It will take place upon the completion of his final “Farewell Tour” to West Virginia and western Virginia, which will be August 4. Your patronage on these tours plus all the others you’ve taken since we started in business in 1975 is very much appreciated!  

If you still have any Discount Dollars or a gift certificate, it will have to be used by the time our last tour departs or it becomes invalid…there are still a few day tours and Dorothy’s Springfield-Hannibal tour with openings.          
        As is a policy with all tour companies, an unpaid reservation = no reservation after 10 days from when you have your name put down on the reservation list.

     Insurance:  Always consider trip insurance when taking any overnight tour. Kramer FunTours offers Travel Protection Insurance designed exclusively for clients of National Tour Association Members.  Coverages include trip cancellation, interruption and delay as well as medical including evacuation, baggage, emergency assistance plus some options.  Ask for your insurance brochure when making tour reservations with Kramer FunTours. If we cancel a tour, you will receive a full refund of your premium from the insurance company.

         Kramer FunTours normally includes gratuities for meals, motorcoach drivers, luggage handlers and local guides, everyone except your FunTours escort. See itineraries for details and possible exceptions.

                   If you live away from Portage and want to stay overnight here before getting on our tour the next morning, we have arranged a special reduced rate at the very nice Super 8, just a couple of blocks north of our offices.  Let us know if you’d like for us to make reservations for you.

          All prices listed on tour lists or itineraries are per person. The “double” price assumes 2 people in hotel rooms, “triple” 3 in a room, “quad” 4 in a room, “single” 1 in a room.  Prices listed on our tour lists and in most advertising you might see are per person double.  

       Our Signature Tours since 1983 are tours by train and motorcoach featuring Amtrak and ViaRail Canada .  Enjoy the luxury and comfort of travel by train throughout the U.S. and Canada . Excellent hotels every night you’re not on the train.  We include as much train travel as practical to still have a good tour.  The train tours are to more distant locations. A train tour will usually save you several days bus travel time and lower the cost of your tour. Once there, we use local motorcoaches with drivers who are very familiar with the areas where we do sightseeing. Train seats are far more spacious than bus or airline seats, and you can get up and walk around anytime you want.  Food and snacks are normally very good. Train schedules are arranged to maximize the best sightseeing.
